Ultrasonic Thickness Gauges for quick non-destructive testing of wall thickness in various solid homogenous materials that are good conductors of ultrasound waves e.g. steel, stainless steel, aluminium, other metals, glass, ceramics, plastics etc. Easily measure the thickness from one side using ultrasound technology for quality control to confirm material thickness or check wear, corrosion and erosion in pipes, tanks, vessels, structures and various other equipment.
We offer options using the basic Pulse-Echo (P-E) method to measure on clean surfaces where any coating should be removed for accurate readings and Through Coating Measurement using Interface-Echo-Echo (I-E) interface echo and bottom echo difference or Echo-Echo (E-E) methods.
Optional 2MHz probe available for cast iron or thicker steel and high scatter materials e.g. HDPE, 7MHz small diameter probe for thinner materials and a high temperature probe for hot surfaces up to 350°C. (Note: all probes have limitations in the upper and lower measuring ranges depending on material being tested, sound velocity, operating temperature, thickness of coatings etc.)
